( March 15th) This is a watercolor micro landscape featuring a old sunflower which is beginning to brown and droop a little. One skill that I refined during this painting process was how to create real looking highlights and layer the colors. I used these skills to create a shape and give it form as well as create depth between different sections of the sunflower as well as between the sunflower and the background. The use of the colors and details creates a focus on the sunflower, especially the center of the sunflower.
